Increased biological hydrolysis of diazinon after repeated application in rice paddies.

چکیده
Repeated application of diazinon granules to the soil Surface of rice fields affected the development of a biological factor that caused rapid degradation of diazinon. This factor was present in the paddy water, in rhizosphere soil of the rice plant, and in nonrhizosphere soils. Isotope studies showed that when incubated with water from diazinon-treated fields, diazinon was hydrolyzed to 2-isopropyl-6-methyl4-hydroxypyrimidine in about 75 hr after incubation. Within the next 25 hr, this hydrolysis product

Diazinon Accumulation and Dissipation in Oryza sativa L. Following Simulated Agricultural Runoff Amendment in Flooded Rice Paddies
Flooded post-harvest rice paddies were examined as systems for reducing diazinon (organophosphate insecticide) concentrations in stormwater runoff. Two paddies were cultivated in Oryza sativa L. and amended with a 3-h simulated stormwater diazinon runoff event. Initial diazinon adsorption peaked at 347 and 571 μg kg (3% mass load reduction) for mean above-ground plant tissue concentrations in e...
متن کاملThe Evaluation of Economic Impact of Equipped – Renovated Rice Paddies in Villages of Central District of Soome-e Sara
Iran’s agricultural sector comparing with the other economic sector suffers from subsistence method. Small farm size, scatter distribution of holdings, lack of an appropriate irrigation and drainage systems, and non-existence of roads between farms have led to increase in production costs and reluctance regarding agriculture activities and relevant investment. This in turn demands the implement...

Objective: The usage of pesticides has increased during the recent years. One the other hand, presence of harmful pesticides residue in rice and other food has caused a great concern among the consumers. Therefore, it is important to develop some pragmatic procedures to increase the food safety along with the reduction in consumption of pesticide residues. Methods: A gas chromatograph with elec...
متن کاملComparison of generalist predators in winter-flooded and conventionally managed rice paddies and identification of their limiting factors
Winter-flooding of rice paddies without the application of agricultural chemicals is attracting attention as a new agricultural method for enhancing the habitat conditions of wintering waterfowl in rice paddy ecosystems throughout Japan and east Asia. Conditions in these paddies are expected to result in restoration of not only the winter habitats of waterfowl but also those of other taxonomic ...
